growing for the future

farming can be highly destructive to the environment, or it can be an integral part of addressing climate change and building resilient communities.

we believe a better tomorrow is possible if we center an approach to food production that heals the land, ourselves, and our relationships to both.

farming philosophy

we follow regenerative growing practices at handscale, which means we prioritize feeding the soil and caring for the whole ecosystem of the farm environment. putting care of the land first means we are growing intensively, rather than extensively.

who we are

we are drew blazewicz and marissa (mars) gabriel, two young farmers working to influence macro changes through the hyperlocal food system.

our food system experiences, combined with our passion for environmentalism, grew into a vision for a farm that gives more than it takes. for us that means regenerative growing practices which don’t just sustain but actively build and nourish the ecosystems we are a part of.

what we grow

we have over 30 varieties of veg and herbs to sell at the barre farmer’s market including lettuce, salad greens, kale, collards, swiss chard, spinach, potatoes, beets, carrots, onions, cabbage, squash, microgreens, sprouts, plus some seasonally foraged foods like nettles and dandelion greens.
