saving waste
We never source anything from Amazon. We use the farm listserv in our area to find a lot of used tools and materials. We also borrow tools, land, cooler, and occasionally a truck from the farmers in our community. When we do buy something new we prioritize purchasing from independently owned shops or directly from producers.
Things we got second-hand for free or cheap:
- tarp
- sand bags
- seeders
- scale
- salad spinner
- shelving
- cinder blocks
- bench table
- plastic
- bulb crates
- seeding trays
- buckets
- bins
- solar panels
- bus
- market boxes
- table
- jars for flowers
- pallets
- cardboard
- folding table
- hand trowel
- shovel
- rake
- coolers
